The mobile theme I was using (itself in Beta) was causing all my WP login-in issues. Back to the craptastic theme I had before. Please disregard the way it looks and functions at the moment. Starting from scratch (somewhat). 11/6/11.
UPDATE: It's back to jquery mobile theme. Phew!
