My last attempt at writing a WP JQM theme wasn't entirely from scratch. I copied code I knew (or thought I knew) worked from my previous site and updated it. That broke everything. So I tried using a commercial theme, paring it down for my needs. That broke everything. This time I'm really starting from scratch; taking a blank WP template, adding JQM and only using features I need. Instead of beginning with every element I want to end up with, I'm adding them one at time, only after assuring that the previous one worked. This approach seems to be working. I hope I didn't just jinx it by typing that. More tomorrow.
